Hello! Hola! Kon'nichiwa! Olá! My name is Guadalupe Valadez Rizo, but everyone knows me as Lupita. I am a student at Ronald Reagan High School in the career pathway of Health Sciences. My target language is Spanish. I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I am at a beginner level in Japanese and Portuguese. I think that keeping an open mind by aspiring to learn more languages can be seen as a courageous characteristic, because it is taking an extra step to learn different things. I also believe that as a volunteer at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center I have developed communication and caring skills. I care for the patients needs at a basic level and I work with the floor manager. I care for these people as I show compassion and understand the situation they are in. I know these skills will help me in the future because I want to be a nurse, and later study to become a physician assistant. I understand that I need to be able to work well with people and do everything in my power to make sure the service provided to them is the best.
